The Brevard Zoo rocks! (March 2013)

While in Florida, we visited the Brevard Zoo.  It's a smaller zoo, but the opportunities to get up close and personal with the animals were so incredibly memorable. 

We arrived early to feed the giraffes.

 They take crackers right out of your hand!!!

 

 

We also had a chance to feed the birds.  They would land on our arm and eat right out of our hands.  However, when a couple birds landed on Baxter...well, he kind of freaked out.  So we quickly exited the feeding area.  But the experience was still super cool.  ;-)

 

 

And unlike most train rides at the zoo, this one actually went close to animals ~ ostriches and camels.  The animals walked right up to the train!
